So… Now we are at the end, hopefully you’ve got an AD that is built like your Office 365. So our last step is to actually install DirSync and get it up and running. This step marks the end of any real reversibility. So, I had a bit of a coming to god moment last night and decided that I need to write a better comparison script. I would definitely recommend running this if you have a lot of contacts in your groups because it will properly check for them as well and give you an even better output. The key here that we need to look for is two things, one that your users are changed from this:

cloud statusbad

To this:

cloud statusgood

The other part is checking your groups. Groups don’t have a nice little thing to look at, so the easiest way is to try to change something about the group, it will give you an error if it is sync’d with the on premise.

So congratulations, you’ve either completely destroyed your AD, or you’ve successfully synchronized your AD with Office 365. Either way, if you happen to read this, leave comments down below and let me know how it went!

This is a five part series!

Part 2
